In our Hotbot VPN review, we’ll check out one of the newer, and better VPN services online today. As the VPN market gets more and more competitive, an evolution in server speeds, customer service, and overall consumer privacy protection continues to blossom. Hotbot VPN encompasses all of that growth and more.
Let’s have a closer look.
Hotbot VPN is a VPN service that works on both IOS and Android devices, as well as Windows and Mac. I say this because I’ve seen confusion on the web as to what devices Hotbot VPN covers. Some VPN reviewers, potentially using outdated information, claim that Hotbot VPN is a mobile only (and in some cases, IOS only) VPN. This isnt’ true. As stated Hotbot VPN works across all of your typical web access platforms.
The original idea was likely to appeal to mobile users frustrated by VPN apps that focused mostly on desktop devices and performed ‘jankily’ on mobile devices. But those days are behind us.
Today, Hotbot VPN is a work of technological art. As a VPN, it’s speed, encryption levels, customer service, and no-logging policy make it a top competitor and certainly one of the best VPNs you’ll use.
Let’s start with the meat and potatoes. If we’re being honest, and we are because we are a legit VPN review site, there is nothing more disappointing than turning on a VPN and having your network connection turn into a snail. Sure, you have privacy and that’s important, but it’s somewhat useless in the end being you access the web with dial up speeds.
Whether you use an U.S. based server, or one located in an international region, Hotbot VPN performed extremely well. Way above our standards. It’s best that your chosen destination was nearer rather than exotically far, but this is obvious to any experienced VPN user. Upload speeds were very fast as well.
Hotbot VPN leverages a secure encrypted connection and DNS leak protection, just to start. So your IP will be masked as you surf the web, download content, and sign up for programs. It also means your IP is concealed if you surf the web in a public space where hackers likely stalk unwitting Internet users.
Even further, they added a kill switch. Not sure what that is? Check out our what is a kill switch article. In short, a kill switch means that if your VPN connection drops for any reason, your entire connection drops. This ensures you aren’t exposed for any amount of time.
Hotbot VPN has a no logs policy.
It does not appear that Hotbot VPN currently offers any ad blocker technology at the moment.
You can unblock streaming platforms such as Netflix using Hotbot VPN. As more and more streaming platforms integrate new measures to stop VPN streaming of their products, the waters are certainly getting rougher. That’s not the fault of Hotbot VPN, however. You’re always rolling the dice when you attempt to stream a media platform using IP concealment. Overall, Hotbot VPN does just as good a job as any.
Hotbot VPN has a free 7 day trial option (see below). But in terms of the merits of this review, the price rounds out to $6.99 per month on an annual deal ($83.88/year).
Yes… for 7 days.
They do offer a completely risk-free 7 day trial. Unlike all other VPNs, HotBot is actually a legit free trial. Every other VPN says it’s free, but really they are just making you pay, then giving you a “money back guarantee”. That is not the case here. You pay nothing up front and can easily cancel your subscription if you are not satisfied. This is the only true free trial VPN you will find.
Hotbot VPN is one of the top VPN services you’ll find. It offers solid consumer protection alongside excellent customer service. When tested, Hotbot VPN displays speedy connections and diverse international location options. Currently, they don’t offer any ad blocker services. If you want to conceal your IP address for an excellent price, and be able to test it out for free, we definitely recommend that you give Hotbot VPN a try.
